Ä°pek Altun, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Seçil Yaylalı, PASAJ Zeynep Okyay, PASAJ

**Future has Desires** is a practice-led research project by PASAJ members artist Seçil Yaylalı and curator Zeynep Okyay, alongside researcher Ä°pek Altun, focusing on the nature of collectivity. The project blends scientific approaches with insights from social sciences and humanities to explore the structures of art collectives through dialogue and individual engagement, rather than a predetermined program.
Post-pandemic, it aims to critically examine the contemporary art scene and foster collective desires for change. Through a research questionnaire available in Turkish and English, participants reflect on their collaborative processes, leadership, conflict management, and decision-making in creative environments.
The concepts of vulnerability and transparency guide discussions on togetherness in arts and culture. Key questions include the nature of collectivity today, collective identity formation, and collaboration methods. The project emphasizes a process-oriented approach, aiming to create opportunities for new artistic collaborations and self-reflection among participants.
Outputs from the project will be documented as a book, website, or artwork and made openly accessible, contributing to the literature on collective work in the arts.
