Tip-Ex Me, Tip-Ex You: Words Break Through / Peekaboo

A Collective Act of Becoming

The world stirs

with acts of resistance.

On a grey-painted wall in Istanbul,

someone wrote:

“Until your grey paint runs out.”

Every erasure reveals persistence.

What began as a wall of grey—

erasing public words each morning—

is now a space for writing, covering, rewriting.

The works of 37 artists and collectives accompany this space,

opening pathways for expression across time and context.

Here, you can speak,

hide,

notice what remains.

Grey paint can cover;

it cannot silence.

Words reappear.

People reappear.

Markers, posters, grey paint, brushes—

every trace, every covering, every reappearance

is part of this ongoing act of becoming.
